What is an Au Pair?

An au pair is a single person without dependents who intends to live in a European country in order to improve his/her knowledge of the native language.

You will live with a host family and receive weekly pocket money in return for doing some light housework and helping with childcare for, normally, up to 25 hours a week.

Your own room, plus meals, will be provided free by the host family, although you will have to pay your own travel costs.

You will normally have time off during the day to attend language classes.
